Sometimes I have so much to say, that I say nothing at all. Strange? Well probably, but that's how I roll. Hence the neglecting of my blog. I always feel that I should have something "big" and important to write about and, quite frankly, sometimes I just don't. I also always feel that I should apologize for my absence but, again, there is no need for that. Life gets busy and that's just how it is. I need to stop worrying so much about it.
Now that I got that out of the way, I am linking up my randomness with the fabulous Mrs. Monologues.
Play Ball
Rae is the only member of herd that is playing spring sports. It wasn't done intentionally, the t-ball league for the boys was full, and Martina didn't turn 9 within the required time frame to play softball this season. They took it in good stride, and they will definitely all be in some fall activity. I know that once they are all in an activity I will twice as busy with practices and games, so I am enjoying a slightly less hectic sports schedule at present.
This past weekend I went to Rae's game and Oh. My.Word it was the best softball game I have ever seen! The way they play here is that 4 innings or 1 1/2 hour time limit, whichever comes first. This was the first game Rae's played this season that they played all 4 innings. The Yellow Jackets (Rae's team) went into the last inning losing 8-5. Since they were the Home team, they were guaranteed one more chance at bat, since the score was close enough for a come back. This is where the game became really nerve wracking, well at least for us parents! lol
The bases were loaded and 2 outs. The tying run was on first base and the winning run (we will call her T) stepped up to home plate. The pitcher threw the first ball over the plate, T swung and connected! Yellow Jackets started running. The ball whipped past the short stop and we all watched in awe as the ball went past Left Center. The girls were rounding the bases as fast as they could. The tying run stepped on home plate, and T was rounding third as the ball came back into the infield. T raced towards home trying to beat the ball to home plate (at this point, every single Yellow Jacket and all us parents are on our feet screaming and cheering). The ball went past the catcher and T stepped on home plate, the Ump called game, and we were all jumping up and down cheering. T hit a
grand slam and the Yellow Jackets won the game! Unbelievable! I was, and still am, so very proud of these girls!
Here are the girls right after this amazing victory!
Shopping Success
I have been on a mission trying to find some nail polishes on my wish list. Sunday I made the trek to Ulta to see if they had what I was looking for. I was looking for
1) Revlon Whimsical
2) Luxe&Lush -The Hunger Games Collection
I am so excited to finally have both of these in my
hands collection! Ulta did not have the Luxe & Lush polish in full size. However, they did have it in a mini bottle collection pack. So I got 3 other polishes from the collection too! I now have Agro, Smoke and Ashes, and Harvest Moon. I am wearing Agro with Luxe&Lush right now. I know the collection has been out for a while now, but there weren't many in this collection that I was interested in. In fact, if they had the full size bottle that I wanted, I would not have bought any of the other colors. However, I am glad that I did because they're growing on me!
Business

What's Coming Up
I am really excited about this upcoming weekend for two reasons. The first being that I am going to my first ever My Thirty-One party. I have never been to one before. I have been looking forward to this for a few weeks now! Can't wait!
The second thing I am excited about, is that the pools are
finally opening this weekend! I foresee a day at the pool, herd in tow, on the horizon!
What are you looking forward to this weekend?!
